Kotahitanga

Kia Ora in my year 11 level 1 P.E. class the teacher split the class up and put us into mixed groups for volleyball. My group consisted of Bruce, Edakai, Angela, Sonny, Jah, Micheal and me. These groups were for volleyball but our teacher Whea Abby wanted our groups to build Kotahitanga between each other. So she set us a challenge the challenge was to build a tower as high as your team and you could build but there was a twist we only had limited resources. As Whea Abby departed the class we got into formation and started sharing our plans with one another. But in the end I think that me and my group shared around so many ideas and we also had a lot of fun and in the end we came second place.

Hacksaw Ridge

Hi this term we have been reading the book Hacksaw Ridge after reading the book we watched a few clips about Desmond life we then discussed with one another and came up with a few ideas on what to write about. We then had to write about a key choice that Desmond Dose made and what the consequences were.

Here’s what I wrote discussing an important decision Desmond Doss had to make when in a challenging and confronting situation.

My Math Goal

  1. One piece of advice for myself this year is to study hard on math equaisions.
  2. One thing I was proud of from last term is attend school as much as I could.
  3. My main focus for the next three weeks is to recap on my multiplication/Timetables
  4. When I need help I know to ask the teacher or my pairs for help.
  5. At the end of this term, I want to be able to say that I achieved my goal of learning a lot more things that I know presently.
  6. These are my action steps to help me get there to focus and listen more to the teachers and finish my work.
